Notes After Taking a Few Comprehensive Medical Histories
1. When seeing if the patient has any additional illnesses, don’t ask, “So do you have any other weird diseases like diabetes or hypertension?”
2. When asking about the patient’s mood, don’t say, “Really?” after they state that they don’t have depression.
3. Sanitize your hands before shaking the patient’s hand. If you do it the other way, it makes it seem like you think they’re dirty.
4. Learn how to ask about nipple discharge without feeling dirty.
5. Don’t use any hand motions when asking the nipple discharge question.
7. Counting?
That’s all for now!
